The church associated with Aden's school was hosting a "Winter Week" Vacation Bible School during his school holiday. It is a great outreach ministry, designed especially for underprivileged families as well as those who need help with child care during the longer winter holiday/term break in the middle of the school year. For us, it didn't seem very practical, however, since it runs for about 10 hours, from 8am to 6pm, full of activity all day. Aden really needed a break, and the all-day activity would have been too much for him. But since he had his heart set on it, and was really disappointed to be missing out, Mommy decided to design a sort of "Winter Week" at home with the boys, full of crafts and activities with some Bible lessons as well. While it created a bit of chaos for a week, and completely exhausted Mommy, the boys really enjoyed the time together and all the things they were able to do.
